INSIGHTS & NOTES FROM
Isaiah 26:3 ESB
"TWO TYPES OF PEACE"
"There is justifying peace & sanctifying peace."
"Justifying peace is the peace that God gives when the believing sinner comes to Christ. The enmity of sin between Christ & the sinner is removed because of what Christ did at Calvary & the sinner's acceptance of this finished work."
"Whereas justifying peace never varies, sanctifying peace does so constantly. Sometimes it's up & sometimes it's down as it regards where our faith is placed."
"Every single believer enjoys justifying peace, but most Christians don't enjoy sanctifying peace. That's the reason we have emotional disturbances, stress, fear, nervous disorders, depression, & a host of other upheavals in our minds."
"...because of misplaced faith & a faulty understanding of grace."
"To have perpetual peace, we must have an uninterrupted flow of grace in our lives. This is done by placing our faith exclusively in Christ & the Cross. When we begin to place our faith in other things, we 'frustrate the grace of God' (Gal. 2:21). When grace is frustrated, sanctifying peace then stops. To have joy, peace of mind, & fulfillment, the one's faith must never move from Christ & Him crucified."
"THE RENEWED MIND"
"The phrase, 'whose mind is stayed on You,' refers to the renewed mind. The mind is the gateway to the Spirit."
"...to renew the mind refers to the believer pulling his faith from other things & placing it entirely in Christ & the Cross."
Romans 12:1, 2
"BECAUSE HE TRUSTS IN YOU"
"...to fully trust in the Lord is for our faith to be placed exclusively in Christ & the Cross & let nothing move us from that foundation."
"A BORROWED SHIP, AN EMPTY NET, & THE WORD OF GOD"
Luke 5:1-10 ESB
"...the great miracles performed by the Lord are just as available to us today as they were then."
"THE PEOPLE CAME TO HEAR THE WORD OF GOD"
"1. Too many belittle preaching & exalt ceremony, but make no mistake, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was the greatest preacher who ever lived. That's why Satan hates preaching under the anointing. True Bible preaching pulls no punches, takes no prisoners, & doesn't try to be diplomatic or politically correct. True Bible preaching steps on toes & makes people uncomfortable at times. True Bible preaching is not philosophy but 'thus saith the Lord.'"
"2. The Word of God is the only revealed truth in the world today. There is no truth in Islam, Mormonism, Catholicism, Buddhism, Hinduism, or any other 'ism' one can come up with."
"A BORROWED SHIP"
"...Simon's ship ...to secure it as a platform to pulpit in order to preach to the masses gathered at the seashore."
"LAUNCH OUT INTO THE DEEP, & LET DOWN YOUR NET FOR A DRAUGHT"
"...the Lord wants to borrow your ship. Even though your net is empty, & your ship is in dry dock, the Lord wants to borrow what you have. I speak of your finances; this is how the work of the Lord is carried out (Rom. 10:13-15). Don't let an empty net stop you from receiving your miracle."
"Your net may be empty, but the Creator of the sea & fish knows exactly where the fish are."
"Don't let an empty net stand in your way. Let the Lord borrow your ship & let Him lead you to where the fish are."
"NEVERTHELESS AT YOUR WORD I WILL LET DOWN THE NET"
"Faith is never inactive, but faith is always active, moving forward, & launching out into the deep."
"...that which is impossible with man is possible with God."
"What will you do? The same Lord who borrowed Peter's ship is asking to borrow your boat to help reach the lost masses of this world."
"THE RESULT OF FAITH"
"The Lord wants to break your net. He wants to bless you beyond your wildest dreams."
"A 2ND SHIP"
"Why don't you let Him bless you, & why don't you let Him break your net? Why don't you go & get another boat to hold God's blessings?"
"The work of God must have everyone doing his part."
"He knows your net may be empty, but if you will obey, He will bless you beyond your wildest dreams."
"Why don't you let down your net down into the water,
There's a blessing waiting you cannot contain
Why don't you let down your net & wade out in the water,
He's pouring out the latter rain."
